7/29/2026 THE SHOW MUST GO ON!!! We are BACK on the Hillside this Weekend! 🙌

To our amazing community of support, thank you. The show cancelations last weekend were incredibly challenging, not only for audience members who came to the Hillside expecting to experience the summer musical, but for the cast, crew, musicians, volunteers, and staff that put their hearts into bringing this joyous piece of work to life.

We can’t express our heartfelt thanks enough to all those who cheered us on, shared our updates, donated, bought merch, and stood with us as we navigated unexpected electrical issues.

We are thrilled to return to the Hillside this weekend and resume the run of the 67th annual Zilker Summer Musical, Singin’ in the Rain!

7/26/26 Sunday Performance is CANCELLED

Due to ongoing electrical issues, tonight’s (Sunday, July 26) performance of Singin’ in the Rain has been canceled.

We are working closely with the City of Austin to resolve this situation ahead of performances this coming weekend, and we look forward to bringing this joyous, unforgettable production back to the Hillside.

Our cast, crew, musicians, staff, and volunteers have put their whole hearts into this summer’s musical. Your support has meant the world to us during this time.

A show cancellation is more than a lost night of entertainment. It’s a loss of revenue from chair rentals, concessions, parking, Hillside donations, merchandise sales, and other on-site fundraising that helps sustain our mission. Zilker Theatre Productions counts on these gifts to ensure another year of free-from-admission theatre in beautiful Zilker Park.

Our heartfelt thanks go to everyone who has rallied around us over the past few days. Your encouraging messages, donations, online merchandise purchases, and words of support have reminded us what an incredible community we have.

7/26/2026 Saturday performance of Singin’ in the Rain is CANCELLED

Due to an unexpected electrical issue at the Zilker Hillside Theater, our recent performance of Singin’ in the Rain was canceled out of an abundance of caution. We are grateful that everyone remained safe and appreciate the swift response of City staff and first responders.

As a nonprofit organization, every performance plays an important role in supporting our mission. A canceled show means the loss of critical revenue from donations, concessions, chair rentals, merchandise, and raffle ticket sales that help fund our cast, crew, and future free productions.

Our team is working closely with the City as the issue is evaluated and resolved, and we remain hopeful that performances will resume as soon as it is safe to do so. We will continue to share updates here and on our social media channels.
